My Favourites

My Favourite Podcasts

I listen to a lot of podcasts and it's insanely difficult to narrow them down to just my favourites. That said, these are the ones I would want with me if I was ever stranded on an island (assuming said island had power and Internet.)

The Art of Breaking Out with Craig McBreen. Finally. No BS and no sales gimmicks. Just from-the-heart advice from some truly inspiring and amazing people.

The Fresh Rag Show with Dave Conrey. Great advice and inspiration for any artist that wants to make a living with their art.

99% Invisible with Roman Mars. This is the podcast that changed how I felt about podcasts. I dream of one day being as good as Roman and his team are. Always interesting stories about all the facets of Design in our lives.

On Being with Krista Tippett. This show explores the religious and spiritual thinkers of our time and never fails to get to the deep humane connections at the heart of all conflict.

The Unplug Podcast with Deb Ozarko. Deb speaks from her heart and soul about compassion and kindness to all living creatures and gets some of the most amazing big name guests in this space onto her show.

The Creative Penn Podcast with Joanna Penn. A truly inspiring and helpful resource for writers of ANY genre. I couldn't have written my book without this in my life.

Good Life Project with Jonathan Fields. This show is about "building an extraordinary life, deeper relationships and meaningful bodies of work, businesses and movements."

The Smart Passive Income Podcast with Pat Flynn. I have to say that this show, at least for the last long while, has been anything BUT a get rich quick podcast. He may come from that lens, but I find Pat's guests almost always truly inspiring, insightful and often willing to talk about things that truly matter like purpose and meaning.

NPR: Planet Money remains one of my all-time favourites. It's funny how long I fought back against all the recommendations from friends and family to follow this show. Now I wait for every episode.

Everything is Stories teaches me that telling good stories is what matters. The stories these folks find boggles my mind.

Alba Salix, Royal Physician by Eli McIlveen. I helped produce this show, but I have to say this is one of the best audio comedy series I've listened to. Ever. And it's free! Six episodes.

I can't not list my own podcasts! :)

Taking the Leap My journey to connect us with our purpose and do the work we were meant to do.

Here be Dragons Jasmin Cheng and I discuss navigating life in the new economy.
